1962 Jill Stubbs
Sadly my memory is not what it was and I don’t remember much more than two brilliant teachers, Mrs. Robb and Miss Gobby, and a set of sport mad class mates who made my non competitive stay at Mayfield a complete misery.
The girls in my class represented all levels of netball from Form to School and to someone like me, with no interest in sport or winning anything, it was very very tiring. I did have a friend, Janet Morris. We had been together through South Park infants and junior schools. We were always together in class and at break times. We played together and buffered each other against the very competitive element present in our particular school year. After a year at Mayfield Janet passed the 13+ and went to grammar school, Beal I think, and we lost touch. Perhaps one day Janet will see ‘Mayfield Memories’ and make contact with me.
I remember you, did you have a sister called Judy? She was in my class. I was then Susan Hewson, now Wilkinson, and had friends June and Jeannine.
She still does have a sister called Judy. Nice you remember me I’m afraid I have a terrible memory for names but can remember faces. I got back in touch with Jeannine through this site.

Hi,
Judy was in my class at South Park, unfortunately that is about all I can remember. I am married and live in Tasmania, I emigrated about 43 years ago first to NSW Australia then to Tasmania just below Australia.
All the best Barbara Russell (nee Clementts)
