1975 Fifth Form

I enjoy looking at the Mayfield Memories website. It was my 14 year old son’s teacher, Jan Gibbons, who put me in touch with it. It is really interesting to find how our lives become interwoven. There are so many people that I wonder were they are now. Here are three photos of the 1975 Fifth Form.

1975 School Visit to Glasbury
Photos provided by Adrienne Farmer (nee Harper) who says: It was a week long activities holiday which we had the opportunity to go on. I must have been about 12 or 13. It was a fantastic time, full of great sports stuff to do; abseiling, canoeing, potholing, and going on what seemed like a 20 mile hike. I remember camping out overnight too. Such great fun, an experience to remember.

This was the half way lunch break during the 20 mile hike. Sitting on the bench is Debbie Austin on the left and Debby Naylor on the right. Just below them I recognise Lynn Gaitely and Jasmine. In the front, left to right are; Julie Dear, Pam Nicholson and Katherine Anderson.
We had just completed our 20 mile hike. Knackered, rotten cold weather, raining, tired and hungry. Had to carry a huge rucksack on our back too.

Leaving day 1976. Waiting to be released on an unsuspecting public. Looks like we were devestated to be leaving. Me at the front on the right showing off my cellulite for some strange reason – a habit I’ve luckily grown out of.
