Just playing on the computer and thought I would look up Mayfield Girls. I have actually been on Billy’s site and wondered about you. We lived around the corner to each other. Well, as I went further into the site – there you were. Hope you are well. I believe you are now living in NZ, I am in Australia. You also had a brother – Dave, how is he?
Hi Val, what a nice surprise to hear from you. So many years have passed since we lived on the Padnall Estate. I still live in England, Wickford to be more accurate, but David lives in NZ and has done so since 1973. I was going to go there but I met my hubby, and the rest is history so they say. We have been married 40 years in November and have two daughters, Stacey who is 38 and Keeley nearly 36. We have one grandson, Brandon who is two and a half and is a gorgeous little boy. Billy lives in America and is married to an American lady, his third marriage. He has 7 children, 6 boys and one girl and umpteen grandchildren. David is still married to Joy and has been since 1968, he has three children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grand children. I have been to NZ twice since 1997 and would love to have lived there, but Ray, my hubby wont even leave this country.
My darling mum died in 2000 and dad died 2011, he was 90 so had a good life. After mum died he married again at the age of 84, bless him, and my step mother now lives round the corner from me.
Enough of me, how’s things with you, I hope you like living in Australia. I have a lot of friends and family out there, where a bouts are you.
